Rev. Lara Escoffre
Lead Pastor
B.A. in Worship Arts with Youth Ministry emphasis - 2003, Judson University M.Div.- 2006, Northern Baptist Theological Seminary.
After
graduating from seminary, Lara served as Youth Pastor in Berwyn,
Illinois, for two years while volunteering as a lay leader and speaker
for a couple of Subculture Young Adult Ministries. She then left
ministry for four years to discern where God was leading her next. God
used that time to help form her into one who "fully and passionately
relies on God." It is with this heart and passion for "the Bride of
Christ" that she came to Midland, in December 2012, to take on the new
role of Pastor of Preaching and Teaching; a role that allowed her to use
and develop her gifts of preaching, teaching, and developing leaders.
In June 2015, Lara transitioned into the role of Lead Pastor. Lara has a
passion for preaching and teaching God's word and for walking with
people as they discover who God has created them to be. Lara is active
in the Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force, Mid-Michigan Health Advisory
Council, and Faithwalking. She and her husband, Laurent, have three
children: Lola, Chloe and Devin.
